We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Girls Circle Program Facilitator to lead and deliver a dynamic and engaging program for young girls aged 9-12 years. As the Program Facilitator, you will have full oversight of the Girls Circle Program, working closely with local schools, youth centres, and community health organisations. You will play a key role in supporting the social and emotional development of young girls, fostering resilience, confidence, and positive relationships.
This is a casual role for 3 hours per week during school terms. Role will commence in 2025 with some induction in late 2024.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver program outcomes in alignment with service agreements using a groupwork model to promote positive behaviours.
- Lead activities that promote social and emotional development, self-expression, confidence, and resilience.
- Engage young girls from Sunbury and surrounding areas, fostering social connections.
- Plan and adapt session content in consultation with group participants.
- Develop and maintain strong partnerships with local schools, Sunbury Youth Centre, and Sunbury Cobaw Community Health.
- Liaise with families of participating children and assess referrals for suitability.
- Advocate for children who have experienced risk or vulnerability.
- Provide monthly reports on program outcomes to the House Manager.
- Ensure compliance with Child Protection & Safety Policies and other relevant policies.

- Experience working with children and youth, preferably in group settings.
- Strong understanding of social and emotional development in children.
- Excellent communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to engage and inspire young girls.
- Ability to build strong relationships with community organisations, schools, and families.
- Commitment to child safety and advocacy for vulnerable children.
