Oonah Aboriginal Health and Community Services exists to establish a welcoming and culturally affirming place in Healesville that provides a central point of contact for Community members, for information, services and programs that are focused on building a healthy, strong and skilled Community.

The HR Generalist will be responsible for providing support, guidance and advice on all HR related practices across the business. You will be expected to perform a variety of duties including:

  • Talent management;
  • People development and engagement activities; and
  • Coaching and Training.

The HR Generalist position will report to the Executive Manager Corporate Services. This position is part-time contract role for 12 months and may be extended depending on funding.

This role is well suited to a person with the following skills and attributes:

  • A qualification in relevant discipline such as Human Resources or progression towards completion of a qualification;
  • Relevant experience in a HR Officer, Coordinator or Advisor role;
  • Willingness to learn and develop your skills and abilities;
  • Excellent relationship management skills and the ability to deal with a diverse, and often competing range of expectations and Community needs; and
  • Knowledge of Human Resources legislation and regulatory requirements.
