The Australian Human Rights Commission is based in the heart of Sydney CBD, with flexible hybrid and remote work options available. This full-time, ongoing position offers a competitive salary range of $72,294 up to $80,033 per annum plus 15.4% superannuation.

About the Team

We’re a dedicated People & Culture team driving strategic programs and operational activities that span the entire employee lifecycle. Our focus is on creating an exceptional experience for every employee, from recruitment through to ongoing development.

People & Culture handle everything from employee relations and talent management to learning and development, organisational growth, and workforce planning.

About the Role

As a People & Culture Officer, you will be the backbone of our team, providing vital administrative and coordination support across a range of activities. Your role will encompass recruitment, onboarding, learning and development, work health and safety, and various other initiatives that contribute to a seamless employee experience.

Skills & Experience

Key Responsibilities:

  • Recruitment and Selection: Work closely with our P&C team and hiring managers to support the recruitment process. From posting job ads to preparing contracts, you'll ensure a smooth and effective hiring journey.
  • Onboarding: Coordinate the onboarding of new team members, ensuring they have a great start with our onboarding program and portal.
  • Learning and Development: Assist in managing our Learning Management System (LMS), track training attendance, and help develop our annual training program.
  • Work Health and Safety: Provide administrative support for WHS committee meetings and safety program activities.
  • General Support: Offer general administrative assistance to the Director of People & Culture and contribute to the development of HR programs, policies, and procedure.
