The Australian Human Rights Commission is based in the heart of Sydney CBD, with flexible hybrid and remote work options available. This full-time, fixed-term position is available until 30 June 2025 and offers a competitive salary range of $111,649 up to $124,836 plus 15.4% superannuation.

About the Role

The Australian Human Rights Commission is seeking a dynamic individual to support the implementation of our Speaking from Experience project. This pivotal initiative is a key recommendation from the National Inquiry into Workplace Sexual Harassment and the Respect@Work Report. Our mission is to give a voice to those who have experienced workplace sexual harassment, and your role will be essential in shaping the resources and strategies needed to drive meaningful change.

Skills & Experience

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create Impactful Resources: Transform qualitative research into engaging materials that increase awareness and action against workplace sexual harassment.
  • Adopt a Behavioural and Intersectional Approach: Develop resources with a deep understanding of how different communities access and respond to information.
  • Evaluate and Improve: Assess the effectiveness of resources and adapt strategies to enhance project outcomes.
  • Engage Stakeholders: Build and maintain effective relationships with diverse stakeholders to ensure resources are practical and impactful.
  • Collaborate Across Teams: Work with internal and external stakeholders to meet project goals, timelines, and budgets.
  • Support Project Activities: Provide organisational and logistical support for project activities.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Expertise in Knowledge Translation: Proven experience in creating educational resources with a solid understanding of adult learning principles, health promotion, and behaviour change communications.
  • Project Management Skills: Ability to manage multiple priorities, coordinate resource development, and adapt to changing demands.
  • Evaluation Experience: Experience in evaluating educational programs and adjusting based on feedback.
  • Relevant Qualifications: Qualifications or experience in knowledge translation, communications, or behaviour change science.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Excellent presentation, relationship-building, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information in plain English and various languages.

Desirable Attributes:

  • Experience working with First Nations and culturally marginalised communities.
  • Knowledge of gender equality and gender-based violence prevention.
  • Skills in policy analysis and synthesising qualitative data.
