THE POSITION

We are seeking a detail orientated and self-motivated Finance Officer to take responsibility for the Centre’s payroll, general accounts and budgeting.

This is a part-time (7 hours per week) role reporting to the Business Manager. The position is based in IARC’s office in the Sydney CBD.

ABOUT IARC

The Immigration Advice and Rights Centre (IARC) is a specialist, not-for-profit community legal centre (CLC) with over 35 years’ experience in migration law and policy.

IARC’s vision is for a fair, just and accessible Australian immigration system. IARC assists people seeking asylum, refugees and migrants experiencing vulnerability in NSW through the provision of free legal information, advice and casework services.

IARC also provides community legal education services, undertakes law reform and policy activities and collaborates with other organisations in the legal and social justice/human rights sector on individual matters and on systemic issues.

ABOUT YOU

  • Experience in a bookkeeping or accounting role
  • Competency in using Xero and Excel
  • Demonstrated payroll experience and knowledge of employee awards, agreements and entitlements
  • Capacity to prepare project-based budgets and reports

WHAT WE CAN OFFER YOU

  • Annual salary between $97,640 – $102,062 pro rata plus leave loading, and superannuation
