  • Be part of a board driving impactful and sustainable change at a critical juncture for gender-based violence
  • Seeking expressions of interest in multiple Board positions including the Chair position

The purpose of this EoI

The purpose of this EoI process is to attract a diverse pool of potential nominees who can guide ANROWS at a significant point for the organisation’s strategy and impact, informed by a strong understanding of the breadth of strategic challenges and opportunities to end violence against women and children in Australia.

ANROWS is governed by a board of directors including a chairperson, five independent directors, one Commonwealth Government director and three state government directors.

Multiple Board positions

With the appointment of ANROWS Chair, Sam Mostyn, as Governor-General of Australia, the ANROWS Board is preparing a list of potential nominees for consideration by Relevant State and Territory Ministers to appoint the next Chair of the Board.

Simultaneously, the ANROWS Board is preparing a list of potential nominees for consideration by the Minister to appoint an Independent Director to become the new Chair of the Finance Risk and Audit Committee.

The appointments of the Chair of the Board and the Chair of the Finance Risk and Audit Committee will be made in the short term.

In addition, a number of Independent Director’s terms will lapse over the next two years, providing the need for further appointments of Directors. These appointments will occur over the coming 1- 3 years. People who wish to be considered as potential nominees for future appointments are encouraged to submit an expression of interest.

Process to express interest

Please download (or copy and paste) the ANROWS Expression of Interest Pack: here and review the requirements and criteria for appointment.

Please submit your expression of interest via the Apply Now instruction.

About the organisation

As a formal partner to the National Plan, appointments to the ANROWS Board are made by the Board on the nomination of the relevant Minister (The Hon. Amanda Rishworth, Minister for Social Services).

ANROWS is registered as a harm prevention charity and deductible gift recipient, governed by the Australian Charities and Not-for-profit Commission (ACNC).
