About the role AND ABOUT YOU

As a SGCH People Partner, you will provide comprehensive support across all aspects of the People & Culture (P&C) function, covering the entire HR employee lifecycle. You will work in a business partnering model, collaborating with people leaders and team members to deliver consistent HR advice, activities, and support, ensuring compliance with legislation, internal policies, and procedures.

The role is critical in ensuring alignment between business operations and People and Culture practices and people engagement business unit actions plan in partnership with the Divisional Executives.

You are the trusted advisor in recommending appropriate people management solutions which support business objectives for a positive duty of care. You have the ability to build and foster quality stakeholder relationships across all levels and provide guidance, support and coaching to all managers, team leaders and team members on the full employee lifecycle.

To succeed in this role, you will have strong people partnering management skills, tertiary qualifications HR, experience working across the whole employee lifecycle, strong organisational and communication skills, and high attention to detail.

Your duties will include but are not limited to:

  • Take responsibility for delivering high quality business partnership and customer service
  • Keep customers informed about matters you are working together on and seek feedback to ensure their needs are met
  • Provide technical HR advice and support that is strategically aligned and balanced
  • Support end to end recruitment activities with integrity and consistency and a focus on strategic outcomes and candidate care
  • Provide accurate and timely administrative support across all stages of the HR calendar and lifecycle
  • Support training activities for all team members.
  • Collaborate with people leaders and team members across the business to achieve better outcomes
  • Keep up to date with relevant contemporary knowledge and practices
  • Demonstrate the ability to interpret Award and apply them to organisation policies and code of conduct, ensuring alignment with the SCHADS Award
  • Accurately collect and record employment related and other information, including generating accurate and timely HR reports.
  • Identify and follow safe work practices and all WHS related policies and procedures, be vigilant about their application by self and others
  • Accurately manage and update employment record information in the HR related modules of OneHousing and other applications where required.

This position involves relevant pre-employment checks. The appointment of a suitable candidate will be subject to employment screening including a National Police Check.

tHE right candidate for this role will have:

  • Human Resources (HR) related tertiary qualifications or committed to undertake Demonstrated recent experience in managing all aspects of the HR employee lifecycle
  • Demonstrated recent experience in a HR generalist, business partnering or related role, including end-to-end recruitment, employee relations and learning and development administration
  • Sound knowledge of HR employment legislation
  • Demonstrated experience with Award interpretation, in particular the SCHCADS Award
  • Demonstrated experience in managing high volume of administrative tasks
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to be tactful and articulate in their communication to various levels of stakeholders
  • Proficient in planning and prioritising own time, and working under pressure with multiple tasks and conflicting priorities
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook)
