What’s the role?

You will work with a team of Martu caregivers to achieve their aspiration for each generation of children to learn, grow and develop into confident Martu adults, who contribute to Martu society and have agency over their collective cultural, social and economic futures.

You work will include:

  • establishing meaningful relationships with Martu caregivers, children and families involved in the program;
  • working with Martu caregivers, children aged 0-5 and their families to deliver all aspects of the Families Program ensuring the program is vibrant, relevant and engaging to Martu – this includes playgroup sessions as well as day trips, overnight and extended trips on remote desert country;
  • providing leadership, mentoring and support for the Martu caregivers seeking employment opportunities within the Families Program;
  • fostering and maintaining strong partnerships between this program and other key service providers;
  • utilising developmental evaluation and adaptive design techniques to continually refine and improve the design and implementation methods of programs.
