Little Droppings is a circular economy start-up in Adelaide, our mission is to make it easy for new parents to use cloth nappies – and reduce epic amounts of waste. We provide a nappy service all around Adelaide: it’s a door-to-door loan and laundry service. We’ve clocked over 3 tonnes of waste to landfill avoided, closing in on 4!

What’s the role?

We’re looking for people interested in supporting our mission! In the first instance – we’re looking for a casual employee (but it could be more if you’re keen to discuss other options).

What will you be doing?

You will be supporting new parents by providing a door-to-door nappy service. The key part of the role is delivering fresh nappies to lovely families around Adelaide which mainly means a quick drop off, but quite often includes warm chats with new parents, and cuddles with bubs! Folding and stuffing nappies is also a big component! Think cups of tea, music playing and being surrounded by piles of cute nappies!

How much does it pay?

The casual role is $25.00 per hour, with the idea the candidate will be paid more if they're interested in higher responsibilities.

How many hours per week?

In the first instance we’re looking at about 6 hours per week on Fridays, we’re hoping to increase the number of hours will grow as the business grows. This can be flexible in being split over Tuesday and Friday.

Who will you be working with?

Well, the team consists of only the founder (Jacqui) as the full-time employee, with a regular cameo from her husband and occasional cameos from her friends. You can be guaranteed that Little Droppings is a warm, fun, meaning-driven workplace that embraces diversity and flexibility.

Where is the workplace?

“Queen Machine” – our amazing industrial washing machine is housed in a warehouse on Port Road. We share a warehouse with another business and have the benefit of a lovely light filled office adjoining the warehouse space for folding and desk work.

What else do we do?

From March 2023, we've been providing our nappy service to childcare centres as well (we’re up to 3 centres now) around Adelaide. Yay! We're stoked to be helping reduce the environmental impact of nappies in this new context.
