About the Service

Our live-in recovery service for women 18 years or older is situated on a property in peaceful surrounds in Orange. The specialist child-focused support staff mean that children under 12 years old can remain with their mother for the duration of their stay.

Your opportunity

This position is responsible for organising and directing all clinical and operational aspects of Elouera, including the oversight and clinical governance of individual Treatment Facilitators clinical interventions, counselling, group facilitation and case management.

The role works closely with and is supported by the Clinical Services Manager, and provides leadership and support to the staff across the residential service with significant contribution to the development and delivery of clinical practice. This is an ongoing full-time position.

Responsibilities will also include, but not limited to:

  • Provide day to day clinical oversight of program delivery and the wellbeing of the residents
  • Coordinate and supervise staff who are responsible for the delivery of treatment and recovery services.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to staff including setting priorities, development, and appraisal of staff.
  • Ensure continuity of care by effectively communicating within the multidisciplinary team and across interface with other health care providers
  • Promote the program, communicate regularly with, and build and maintain collaborative working relationships with program partners and all relevant stakeholders.
  • Convene staff and community groups to address operational or therapeutic issues as required and roster staff to oversee morning meetings
  • Develop clinical practice knowledge and expertise through active learning within the team and by engaging in professional development activities
  • Chair and contribute to, regular case conferences, presentations and team discussions in relation to clinical practice and issues
  • Actively engage in and contribute to the development of the clinical team

The total remuneration package for this role is approximately $122K to $127k dependent on skills and experience, and includes base salary, salary packaging, superannuation, leave loading (17.5%), 5 additional days of paid wellbeing leave, and Fitness Passport membership access.

What you’ll bring

To be female is a genuine requirement for the position under Section 31 of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1977 (NSW) and Section 30 of the Sex Discrimination Act 1984 (Cth). 

In additon, succeed in this role, there are some essentials you’ll need:

  • Tertiary qualification in Social Work, Psychology or allied health (or similar field)
  • Demonstrated experience leading a residential service team.
  • In depth knowledge of the residential service model and experience in its operation.
  • Demonstrated clinical skills in assessment and intervention.
  • Experience in developing and facilitating evidence based clinical education programs
  • Significant experience working with clients with complex needs, with alcohol and other drug dependencies and/or mental health concerns
  • Demonstrated experience in supporting and mentoring staff
  • Demonstrated leadership skills to provide clinical and operational leadership and management of a multi-disciplinary team (including human and Financial resource matters).
  • Highly developed consultation, communication, and interpersonal skills, to engage effectively with diverse clients, staff and stakeholders
  • Innovative, flexible and solutions focused to resolve emergent issues and to enhance services delivery to better meet client needs
  • Current and valid Australian Driver’s Licence
  • Working With Children Check
