Lucy Saw is an innovative, client focused organisation providing crisis accommodation, and holistic support to women and their children escaping from FDV.

The Child Advocate role will provide clear and concise notes on SHIP (Data Collection) and all handover documentation to ensure ongoing and consistent support for women and their children.
The purpose of the position is:
- To provide support to children and their safe care giver who is a client if the service, the family is a resident in crisis accommodation support and/or outreach support for women impacted by family and domestic violence (FDV)
- Undertake risk assessments and co-develop safety plans.
- Support women through case plans to achieve their aims and goals in the refuge and/or in the community. Support with schooling, Day Care etc.
- Provide case management support for women and their children through initial screening intakes, assessments, risk management, planning, linking up referrals, advocacy, follow ups and planning for exits.
- Contribute as a valued team member to the functioning of the multi-disciplinary refuge supporting women and their children.
- Strengthen links with community, government, and non-government organisations to ensure appropriate resources exist for the women and their children.
- Deliver age-appropriate group programs for children and/or their mothers to strengthen resilient parenting techniques and support recovery and healing from the impact of domestic and family violence.
