Residential Support Worker - Ballarat

This is a part time role that will function during business hours only.

This is a Permanent Part-Time (23 hours per week) opportunity based in Ballarat within our Community Services program. The position reports to the team leader Ballarat.

Requirements of the role include:

  • Direct resident support
  • Light cleaning duties including room turn over
  • Donation collection and organisation (some lifting required)
  • Weekly food preparation, organisation and cooking of community lunch
  • Shopping for household items as required

Key Selection Criteria:

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Certificate or diploma qualification in social work, community services, community development or a related field.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with women and children facing a range of complex challenges in relation to family violence, homelessness, health and mental health, drug and alcohol use, trauma, and marginalisation.
  • The ability to apply a flexible, inclusive, non-judgmental, and empowering approach to practice and service delivery.

You must have a:

  • Valid and current Driver’s Licence;
  • Satisfactory Criminal History Check (paid for by MacKillop);
  • Valid Employee Working with Children Check;
  • Valid and current NDIS Workers Screening Check (for risk assessed / client facing roles). MacKillop can assist successful candidates with their application.
