The Position

The HR Coordinator will support a HR Business Partner and local management in the Gippsland region. This role is a first point of contact for HR related queries and issues raised by staff, as well as assisting and coordinating a range of HR activities including recruitment, onboarding, learning and development and well-being.

Key responsibilities include

  • Prepare job advertisements, review and shortlist applications and liaise with applicants to arrange interview and selection processes
  • Coordinate all safety screening and pre-employment checking
  • Prepare contracts of employment and facilitate onboarding, including the preparation of new employee packs, mandatory training, set up in HRIS
  • Maintain familiarity with applicable Industrial instruments and respond to straight forward enquiries from staff about terms and conditions
  • Assist with coordinating WorkCover claims including filing and following up correspondence such as medical certificates, return to work plans, insurer correspondence, taking notes in case reviews, etc.

Our Ideal Candidate

  • Previous experience in HR administration across the employee life cycle
  • Experience with Awards and EBAs
  • Strong organisation and self-management skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Flexible and adaptable
