About the role

As part of the HR Business Unit, the Health, Safety and Wellbeing team are an important function of Mind and supports the business with strategy, planning, processes and systems in safety, emergency preparedness and injury management. The HSW team recognises the organisation as experts in their roles and works in partnership with internal and external stakeholders to ensure safety and wellbeing.

We are seeking a self-motivated, high performing Health, Safety and Wellbeing Partner for a permanent, full time opportunity in Heidelberg area with the flexibility to work from home. You will be integral in managing a range of health, safety and wellbeing related systems and services as well as design, develop, and integrate systems, initiatives, programs and processes to ensure legislative compliance and effective Health, Safety and Wellbeing Management systems.

Key responsibilities

  • Support the implementation of the WHS management system including policies and procedures.
  • Develop and implement action plans to achieve the Health, Safety and Wellbeing team targets.
  • Provide high level advice for Mind Managers and employees on WHS and Wellbeing matters.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of training programs.
  • Manage Workers Compensation and Return to Work Claims as well as safety and risk reporting and assessment.

What you’ll bring

  • Tertiary qualifications (minimum Certificate IV) in Occupational Health and Safety or other related field.
  • Demonstrated understanding and working knowledge of project management, occupational risk management and work health and safety systems.
  • Broad knowledge and understanding of HSW, policy compliance and current legislation and practices.
  • Ability to display resilience and adaptability in a complex and changing work environment.
