About the role
The Human Resources Operations business unit provides core support Human Resources (HR) services in HR Business Partnering, Health Safety & Wellbeing, Recruitment and HR Information Systems to management and employees across Mind. The HR Operations teams provide high level support, expert advice and information, coaching, policies and procedures, business processes, continuous improvement strategies, HR technology systems and programs to enable efficient, effective management of these core support services to ensure the organisation is able to grow, financially sustainable, a safe place to work and technologically enabled.
We are seeking a self-motivated, high-performing Human Resources Systems Advisor for a 6-month fixed term (with potential to become ongoing), full time opportunity to work within the HR Information Systems (HRIS) team in Burnley, Melbourne area with the flexibility to work from home 4 days and in the office 1 day per week. In this role you will provide efficient, responsive HR systems support services including technology maintenance and management, new employee onboarding, compliance checks, employee life cycle management and reporting. You will also contribute to ensuring Mind is technologically enabled and operates effectively to deliver a sustainable workforce to meet business objectives.
Key responsibilities
- Act as the first point of contact and respond to general enquiries received through the HR Information Systems (HRIS) inbox, email or telephone and provide advice on a Human Resources (HR) processes and HR technology systems and applications.
- Support the HR Systems Support & Reporting Lead to provide technical support including the investigation and resolution of technical issues for HR and people related systems and applications including CHRIS21 (payroll), PageUp (erecruitment) and TimeTarget (shift rostering).
- Work collaboratively with a range of internal and external stakeholders in relation to system maintenance issues and tasks including defect management, system improvements and user acceptance testing for people related systems changes and updates.
- Provide reporting and insights business, from various HR Systems and manipulating data via Microsoft Excel or other similar programs, to provide an integrated view of employee activity to support better decision making for the organisation.
- Manage onboarding processes for new employees including compliance checks (NDIS Worker Screening Check and Working with Children Check) and employment requirements (qualifications and Work Rights) are in line with position descriptions and service/business requirements.
What you’ll bring
- Tertiary qualifications (minimum Certificate IV) in Human Resources, Business Analysis, Systems Administration or other related field as designated by Mind and/or equivalent experience in a similar industry.
- Previous experience in Not For Profit, Community Services, Welfare, Mental Health, Healthcare or Disability services sector is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated experience in a similar Human Resources administrator, business analysis or systems administration role.
- Knowledge and experience using HR information and payroll systems, e.g. CHRIS21, PageUp erecruitment system and TimeTarget is highly desirable.
- Ability to influence and work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders including peers, employees, management, service providers, external organisations and government agencies.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft programs, including strong knowledge, experience and skills in Microsoft Excel and the related Microsoft 365 products.
