About the role

The Human Resources Business Unit provides core support services in workforce management and development, payroll and remuneration and workplace health, safety and wellbeing. The Business Unit provides strategies, business processes and systems to enable efficient and effective management of these core support services to ensure Mind is financially sustainable, safe and technologically enabled.

The focus of the Human Resources Business Unit is to develop and support a flexible, sustainable and equitable workforce management model which is underpinned by the provision of appropriate, consistent and timely services, process and information to managers and employees.

We are seeking a passionate and collaborative HR Administrator who is keen to build on their knowledge of HR systems and processes in a permanent ongoing role. In this role you will provide administrative a small team of HR Business Partners, HR Advisors and the HR Information systems team regarding the range of Human Resources processes for the employee lifecycle and employment requirements.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to the HR Business Partners and HR Advisors for tasks, including ER case management, recruitment and selection activities, and other HR projects.
  • Assist with administrative tasks, such as filing documents and updating qualifications, licenses, and compliance details in the payroll system.
  • Communicate with prospective candidates and Hiring Managers to ensure the smooth completion of recruitment and onboarding processes.
  • Verify information and process checks and clearances, such as visas, NDIS Worker Screening Checks, Working with Children Cards, and Blue Cards, through our portals, as part of our compliance checks and onboarding process.

What you’ll bring

  • Completed or part way through a Certificate IV or above in Human Resources or related discipline is highly desirable and/or previous experience in the provision of HR administrative support in Health, Medical, Community Services field.
  • Previous experience working as an HR Administrator or Coordinator role or a recent Human Resources Graduate.
  • A strong customer focused mindset and ability to be responsive to the needs of the team and stakeholders and maintain positive relationships.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to positively contribute to the team and organisation culture.
  • Proven time management, organisational skills and the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines under pressure.
