The Women's Resilience Centre is a place of hope, healing and recovery for women who have experienced or witnessed domestic abuse and trauma. The Social Worker/Case Manager is responsible for assessing client needs, developing case plans, and connecting clients with appropriate resources to support their journey towards safety and independence.
Reporting to the Programs Manager the key responsibilities: Conducting intake assessments and risk evaluations for new clients, developing and implementing individualised safety and support plans, assisting clients in accessing legal, medical, housing, financial, employability and psychological recovery resources and advocating for clients with various agencies and service providers, whilst maintaining accurate and confidential client records, participating in case review meetings. Participate in community outreach and awareness activities, as required.
Bachelor's degree in Social Work, and min 2 years experience working with survivors of domestic violence. A knowledge of domestic violence dynamics and local resources. Ideally you will have familiarity with trauma-informed care practices and excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
