About the Role

As our Partnerships & Events Co-ordinator, you’ll play a pivotal role in delivering key events and fostering strategic partnerships. From the prestigious 10th Year Gala Dinner to high-profile events like Maddie’s Match and United Energy Around the Bay, your work will directly support our mission to fund research and support patients and families.

This is a 3-day-per-week role (one workday must be Monday) based in our Melbourne CBD office, with flexibility for hybrid working.

What You’ll Do

Event Management:

  • Coordinate flagship events, including the 10th Year Gala Dinner, Maddie’s Match, United Energy Around the Bay and more.
  • Coordinate additional activities for National Bone Marrow Failure Syndrome Awareness Week and the 10th Maddie’s Month, as required.
  • Assist the Centre of Research Excellence team with the National Symposium on Bone Marrow Failure Syndromes, as required.

Partnerships & Sponsorships:

  • Identify and secure sponsorship, in-kind contributions, and new partnerships to support organisational goals and event success.
  • Support the CEO with partnership reporting and stewardship of key supporter relationships.

Operational Support:

  • Oversee timelines, budgets, and deliverables for events and sponsorship agreements.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure seamless execution of activities.

Key Selection Criteria:

  • A diploma or degree in a relevant field, such as event management, business, marketing, or a related discipline.
  • Proven experience in event coordination, partnerships, or fundraising.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, ensuring precision and accuracy across all tasks and deliverables.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for engaging with diverse stakeholders.
  • A proactive and flexible approach, with a passion for driving impactful outcomes.
  • Experience in the not-for-profit sector or a related field is highly desirable.
