Midland Women’s Health Care Place provides a range of women-centred care services in the East metropolitan area. Our crisis accommodation services, Nardine Refuge, was established in 1974 and is the oldest, still operating, women's refuge in Australia. Nardine provides short-term crisis accommodation and a range of support and services to women and children experiencing family and domestic violence.
Nardine Refuge is seeking a motivated, self-directed team player to join a small, dynamic team of multidisciplinary professionals in a challenging and rewarding environment. The right candidate will be offered flexible, family-friendly employment.
The role covers a range of shifts, including afternoon shifts (working until 7pm), morning shifts (commencing at 8am) and weekend and public holiday day shifts from 10 am to 4pm. The minimum hours on a fortnightly basis would be 7.5 hours, ranging from 30 hours.
Women's advocates provide effective, flexible, high-quality client-directed case management, practical support and service delivery to women, children and young people experiencing family and domestic violence residing at Nardine Refuge, as well as general duties related to operating a residential service.
