The Katherine Criminal Law Section provides crucial legal services across the Katherine Local Court, Supreme Court, and circuit courts in the Big Rivers Region. Our dedicated administrative and client service teams are integral in delivering high-quality, accessible, and efficient services to our clients. This role requires high levels of motivation, energy, and a commitment to professional excellence. On-the-job training and support will be provided.
Provide administrative support within a busy legal practice, assisting lawyers, maintaining files to legal practice standards, and meeting deadlines. Perform general office duties such as registering, photocopying, faxing, and other administrative tasks. Enter and retrieve client data into NAAJA’s Client Management System (CMS) while ensuring strict confidentiality at all times. Handle phone calls, record messages, and assist with general reception duties.
Punctual, dedicated, and enthusiastic individuals who can work under supervision and as part of a team.Previous experience in administration and office procedures is preferred but not essential. General understanding of NAAJA’s role, knowledge of the legal process, and the ability to communicate sensitively with Aboriginal people is highly desirable.
