NAPCAN is seeking a team player who is able to work collaboratively in a geographically diverse team with a head count of 55 FT, PT and Casual employees. The purpose of the role is to support the NAPCAN Leadership Team and all staff in performing their roles in line with relevant legislation, guidelines and best practice. This is a varied role and will encompass a range of responsibilities for the human resources, industrial relations and general administrative function of NAPCAN.

  • *Note: Position available nationally*
  • 12-month fixed term part time (16 hours per week)
  • $100,000 - $110,000 FTE + super + leave loading + laptop + phone allowance + flexi working hours & arrangements (salary depending on experience)
  • Hybrid role – work from home and occasional travel to work face to face with colleagues.

Your Everyday

  • Advise on best practice HR strategies
  • Refresh existing policies and procedures
  • Deal with contracts and yearly reviews
  • Implement and upkeep of Bright HR Platform
  • + Other HR related tasks

You will have

  • At least 3-5 years of experience in Human Resources
  • A degree in Human Resource Management or similar and relevant experience
  • Significant HR/IR experience within a small to medium size organisation (national preferred)
  • Strong emotional intelligence and interpersonal skills to enable the delivery of independent advice to staff at all levels with kindness, fairness, sensitivity, consideration, tact and discretion.
  • A meticulous eye for detail
  • Ability to work in high pressure situations
  • Self-lead work ethic
  • Alignment of organisational core values
