The NTEU (Queensland Division) is seeking to employ a full-time Industrial Officer to be based primarily at the Queensland Division Office in Taringa. The position involves regular travel to all Queensland campuses. This is a full-time, permanent position.
The NTEU is a federally registered membership-led union with coverage of academic and general staff in higher education. The NTEU represents workers in all Queensland universities and their associated student organisations, research institutes and companies.
In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for planning and executing engaging campaigns to support our members while providing essential guidance and training on various industrial matters.
Additionally, your negotiation skills will be crucial in securing fair working conditions and agreements for our members. As an advocate for our members, you will represent their interests before official university and legal bodies.
Furthermore, you will collaborate with university management to address individual and collective cases and disputes, ensuring the best outcomes for our members.
Salary range is as per NTEU National Staff Agreement Level 7 ($119,576 - $132,019pa), depending on applicant's level of experience. Employer superannuation contributions of 17% are paid in addition to salary.
