Key position Responsibilities, Duties and Accountabilities

  • Maintain an active caseload of approx. 20 consumers
  • Provide vocational support services, not mental health support services
  • Provide participants with assistance to obtain employment or training/education outcomes
  • Work closely with each participant’s existing clinical support team to coordinate services to ensure roles are complementary and not duplicated
  • Liaise with employers and education/training providers to create real opportunities that align with the participant’s goals
  • Ensure records management obligations are met, in accordance with Neami National policies and procedures. This includes the retention of hardcopy and/or electronic records and ensuring files are accurate and kept up to date.
  • Commitment to understand service data requirements and to collaborate with consumers to gather relevant data
  • Consideration of individual and aggregated consumer data to inform practice and continuous service improvement

Essential

  • A valid Working with Children Check
  • A valid Australian Driver's License
  • Police Check
  • Excellent communication skills, written, verbal and oral
  • Computer Literacy

Desirable

  • Certificate IV level qualifications in AOD, mental health or related field (or working towards)
  • Experience working with people and building relationships
  • Experience with an employment provider or related field
  • Establishes respectful professional relationships that have clear boundaries with consumers, staff and partner organisations
