About the role

Working within the newly established Innovation Directorate, this position will work across the Directorate to support Innovative projects that seek to develop new and innovative knowledge, practices and strategies that build the evidence base on what works to prevent violence against women. Working across a portfolio of projects this role will lead the development of policy papers, evidence reviews, desktop reviews, internal briefings and presentations based on a strong understanding of the sector and the primary prevention of violence against women evidence-based.

Working closely with the Innovation Leadership team this role will monitor national and international trends in primary prevention policy, practice and research to inform new and innovative project activities. Initial priorities will include undertaking desktop reviews to inform new project development to ensure there is a clear picture of priorities, policy, funding frameworks and policy levers in different settings and at different levels of the ecological model.

About you

The successful candidate will have a strong policy background coupled with a detailed understanding of the prevention of violence against women evidence base, a deep understanding of cultural change in organisations in relation to gender equality, as well as the ability to look at the regulatory environment and determine elements the project should focus on and then do the work to engage at that level. You will have sophisticated writing and communications skills, policy expertise and confidence in engaging a broad range of stakeholders from multiple settings
