About OWN NSW
The Older Women's Network NSW (OWN NSW) is a prominent peak body in New South Wales dedicated to advocating for the rights and promoting the overall wellbeing of older women. We are committed to addressing the unique challenges faced by older women and ensuring their voices are heard. With a presence throughout the state, OWN NSW comprises 20 community-based groups, primarily operated by passionate volunteers who strive to cater to the specific needs of older women within their respective communities.

We are seeking a dynamic administrator who is deeply passionate about the rights and wellbeing of older women. Duties
As an Administrative Officer, you will be responsible for the following key tasks:
- Membership Records: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records for OWN NSW membership.
- Online Class Coordination: Organise and manage online classes, including handling Zoom and Humanitix (online booking system).
- Newtown Wellness Centre: Assist in coordinating the operations of the Newtown Wellness Centre.
- Centre Operations: Open and close the Centre as required.
- Information Sharing: Act as a point of contact for information sharing and referrals for members and community to other organisations e.g. housing services.
- Communication Management: Answer phone calls, reply to emails, and handle inquiries promptly and professionally.
- Support to OWN NSW Groups: Provide assistance and support to OWN NSW groups as needed.
- Event Planning: Assist in planning and organising events.
- Upkeep for head office: Keep track of bookings and log maintenance and repairs.
Criteria
To be considered for this role, you must meet the following essential criteria:
- Administration Experience: Previous experience in an administrative role is required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft and Google Workspace: Demonstrated proficiency in using Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
- Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in tasks and record-keeping.
- Organisational Skills: Excellent organisational skills and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment with interruptions and changes.
- Confidentiality and Privacy: Ability to maintain and uphold confidentiality and privacy principles.
- Friendly and Approachable: A friendly and approachable demeanour that fosters positive relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
- Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and contribute to a supportive work culture.
- Experience in the community sector: Previous knowledge and experience in the community sector is highly desirable. Particularly in relation to homelessness, age care, ageism, social connectedness and isolation and sexual assault.
