Two newly created Community Food Hub Officers will support the Bendigo Community Food Hub project. The Officer roles are available for young people aged between 18-25yrs. Working closely with the Community Food Hub Coordinator, the Community Food Hub Officer will engage with and support young people, CALD people and people with a disability (all with a youth lens) to grow, cook and sell food.

The Person:

The successful candidate will have a positive, proactive approach to the role and be committed to the values of BFS. They will take pride in their performance and be committed to learning and achieving quality outcomes at all times.

Key Selection Criteria:

• An interest and passion for making positive change in the community, specifically in the food systems space. 
• A commitment and willingness to embracing the opportunities provided as part of the traineeship. 
• A genuine willingness to work and build skills across a range of activities within the Food Hub. 
• An empathetic, genuine and strengths-based approach when working with individuals and organisations in our community. 
• Demonstrated time management skills with the ability to work to tight deadlines.
• Good written, communication and interpersonal skills. 
• Administration skills with proficiency in the MS Office suite. 
• Clear Police Check- if offered the role we can assist with the application process. 
• Current Working with Children Check - if offered the role we can assist with the application process. 
• Proof of three Covid vaccinations.
