The Public Service Association and Professional Officers Association Amalgamated Union of New South Wales (PSA) is a NSW registered Trade Union. Our members work across all areas of the state Public Sector, including all major government Departments, Agencies, State Owned Corporations and the Higher Education sector.

The role of Work, Health and Safety (WHS) Officer is located within the Industrial Support team of the Union which supports the Executive and the Industrial teams.

The WHS Officer reports to the Manager, Industrial Support and is responsible for providing support to Industrial staff, the Executive, delegates and members within all facets of work, health and safety within the Public Sector.

The PSA's WHS unit has a long history of being at the forefront of Union activity around Workers Health, both within the workplace, in policy and in union training.

The role is equivalent to a Public Service Grade 6/8 with a starting salary of $96,164 plus super.
