This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and experienced HR generalist to join Relationships Australia Victoria (RAV) in this important role with staff who have been delivering effective client focused services and outcomes for over 70 years in Victoria.

About the role

Reporting to the Senior Manager Human Resources (HR), you will be responsible for providing comprehensive HR advice and support to our managers and staff across all aspects including workplace relations and employment law, EBA interpretation and advice, development of policies/procedures, performance management, recruitment, safety and wellbeing. Having recently implemented an HRIS, you will work with the HR team to assist with the development and implementation of this our online systems. You will also undertake various projects, workplace investigations, staff engagement, culture and recognition activities to assist us to develop and implement effective operational and strategic outcomes as we continuously improve HR activities across the business.

This role is an ongoing position at our centre in Camberwell. We value flexible working and are negotiable in relation to the successful candidate’s work/life needs and so this position may be part-time four (4) days per week or full-time.

Skills, experience, and qualifications

  • Tertiary qualifications in human resources, employment law (or related) and ideally exposure and experience in employment law and workplace relations.
  • Experience and competence in providing timely advice, coaching, support to managers and staff on employment and workplace relations matters, including enterprise agreements, safety and workcover, policy and procedure interpretation and Fair Work legislation.
  • Excellent verbal / written communication skills.
  • A strong commitment to internal customer service and ability to build relationships using solid interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritise workload and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment working autonomously.

You will receive a competitive remuneration package, base salary range of $79k to $88k (pro-rata) per annum, superannuation and access to PBI tax-free salary packaging.
