Salary: A competitive salary, will be offered based on skills and experience.

Status: Full Time Ongoing

Location: Level 2, 696 Bourke Street Melbourne CBD with flexibility for remote work as agreed.

Reporting to: Client Services Manager.

About this role

We are seeking a motivated individual who is eager to work closely with the Client Services, Manager generating new business. This role is essential for identifying and developing new opportunities that ensure we achieve our growth objectives.

You will be responsible for developing strong client relationships through effective communication in all aspects of the sales process including negotiating and closing.

Key duties include:

  • Work closely with the Client Services Manager in revenue generation.
  • Collaborate and negotiate with key stakeholders and members to ensure deep relationships with members and potential sponsors.
  • Create new opportunities for sponsorship and membership.
  • Support pipeline growth and development.
  • Maintain accurate data that will track the pipeline and priorities for RIAA.
  • Assist in the preparation of documentation and reports as required.
  • Assist in the development of content for RIAA communications.
  • Support member engagement with other RIAA activities and opportunities.
  • Perform other duties as directed by the Client Services Manager.

Key Selection Criteria:

  • Experience in business development, preferably within a membership or financial services organisation, would be highly regarded.
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • The ability to maintain relationships with external stakeholders and build rapport that will lead to new opportunities for RIAA.
  • Ability to look ahead and identify opportunities.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Persuasive sales skills.
  • Basic understanding of the investment sector and its dynamics is desirable but not essential.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite, Adobe PDF, and Customer Relationship Management system would be desirable.
