About the opportunity

We have an exciting role available for a HR Business Partner looking for their next development opportunity. You will work in a highly respected and well regarded, not for profit organisation within an experienced and supportive HR team. Working closely with the Chief People Officer and key members of our leadership team, you will support our business units on a wide variety of people and culture matters.

The successful candidate will lead projects, train and mentor others, and provide guidance on matters ranging from performance, development, recruitment and onboarding to industrial relations and change management. In this role you will also oversee workers compensation matters as well as support the implementation of the HR strategy across the wider business.

About You

We are looking for a decisive, skilled HR Business Partner with a passion for working in a supportive and collaborative environment. You will understand the ins-and-outs of HR basics and know what is needed to support our employees and leaders.

  • University qualifications in Human Resources, Business or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in Human Resources (previous experience within the Health and/or Disability sector is highly desirable).
  • Previous experience investigating people related matters.
  • Working knowledge and experience to effectively liaise with external stakeholders including industrial unions, employee representatives, lawyers and other key business stakeholders in managing HR related issues.
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret industrial instruments including legislation, awards and enterprise agreements.
  • Experience in developing or delivering frontline training desirable.
  • High level conciliation and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Current NSW driver’s license (for occasional travel across the Sydney metro area).
