Through our digital support, phone counselling, peer services, arts programs, advocacy, and research, we strive to dismantle stigma and provide essential support.

Your Role:

We’re looking for an inspiring and proactive Service Lead to guide our dynamic service delivery team. As a Service Lead, you’ll be responsible for ensuring the team provides high-quality counselling services, creating and enabling a supportive team culture, and supporting team members to grow and learn.

What You'll Do:

  • Lead with Purpose: Oversee daily operations including phone calls, emails, forum moderation, community engagement, online groups, and events.
  • Support and Empower Your Team: Offer guidance, support, and management to a dedicated team of 10-15 professionals. Facilitate engaging team meetings, provide personalised coaching, and support ongoing development.
  • Champion Excellence: Drive the delivery of person-centred, trauma-informed care. Work towards achieving set KPIs related to service delivery, clinical practice, and leadership.
  • Ensure Quality: Oversee clinical risks and incidents in line with established practices, policies, and legislation. Conduct quality audits and support continuous improvement.
  • Align with Values: Play a crucial role in achieving our organisational goals and embody SANE’s core values in every aspect of your work.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Relevant Qualifications: A tertiary qualification in psychology, social work, counselling, or a related field.
  • Professional Membership: Eligibility for or working towards full or provisional registration with a recognised professional body (AASW, AHPRA, PACFA, ACA).
  • Availability: You will be required to participate in an on-call roster, with weekend work approximately one weekend in five.
  • Leadership Experience: At least 2 years in a similar leadership role, ideally within the mental health sector.
  • Legal Work Rights: Full working rights in Australia.

Why Join Us?

  • Make a Difference: Play a vital role in transforming the lives of people affected by complex mental health issues.
  • Supportive Environment: Work in a culture that values your professional development and well-being.
  • Passionate Team: Join a team dedicated to making a meaningful impact.
