About the role

Reporting to the CEO, the Business Operations Manager:

  • Oversees the day-to-day operational functions and management of finance, human resources, quality assurance and compliance, IT, property, risk management, and WH&S functions.
  • Contributes to the identification and development of strategic objectives and planning.
  • Supports the CEO and SCCA Board, including providing reports and briefing papers identifying opportunities for enhancement and expansion of SCCA activities.
  • Contributes to the positive culture of SCCA through role-modelling appropriate behaviour and leading by example.

About you

You will have tertiary qualifications in Finance, Business Management, Accounting or similar, with 5 or more years relevant experience working in similar operations or leadership role. Candidates with experience working in the not-for-profit and charity sector will be highly regarded.

  • An ability to develop and build effective relationships, trust and credibility with internal and external stakeholders, including working collaboratively to support other team members.
  • Resilience, adaptability and flexibility to work in a team in a hybrid working environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with accuracy, attention to detail, consistent use of well-structured language, confident public speaking ability and persuasive negotiation skills.
  • Ethical and values-based interactions aligned with SCCA’s Vision, Mission and Values.

Skin Cancer College Australasia (SCCA) is the non-profit peak body for primary care skin cancer practitioners in Australia and New Zealand. We are passionate about fostering and supporting the development of health care professionals to combat skin cancer and save lives. We achieve this through education, research, advocacy and standards.

Australia and New Zealand have the highest incidence of skin cancer in the world. The Skin Cancer College Australasia (SCCA) is the non-profit, peak body representing primary care skin cancer practitioners in both Australia and New Zealand.
