IPC Health is one of the largest providers of community health service in Victoria, operating in the Western suburbs of Melbourne. IPC Health exists so that communities are healthy and well, providing a full spectrum of care and support through a single point of contact and consistent approach to healthcare. IPC Health’s vision is to make the highest quality primary health care accessible to all who need it.
A recent review and restructure has created a new position that will focus on IPC Health’s people and culture, the community it serves and the governance of its services and programs. Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, this role will form part of the Executive Leadership Team and be responsible for the strategic and operational leadership of the following teams at IPC Health:
This role calls for an experienced people and culture practitioner with broader experience leading cross-functional teams in the provision of operational and strategic human resource functions, including leadership development and management of IR/ER, injury management, HR business support, recruitment, learning and development, workforce planning, analytics and reporting. In addition, the role provides leadership to ensure that IPC Health’s brand and communication strategies are effective in engaging their target audiences and making an impact whilst its corporate governance systems and processes are fit for purpose. In that sense the role combines the requirement to provide strategic leadership to teams, alongside an operational imperative to integrate and align work practices, policies and procedures to deliver the organisation’s key objectives.
To be considered for this important position you will possess tertiary qualifications relevant to the role, ideally with experience in the health, human services or community sectors. You are likely an experienced people and culture practitioner with expert skills in that domain, along with broader general management experience in other domains where you may not be the subject matter expert but possess the leadership skills to bring out the best in others. You’ll have a good understanding of corporate governance and the relevant reporting and compliance requirements and the curiosity and interest in new learning.
This is a great opportunity to join IPC Health, who have an exciting growth strategy and, in a role, where you’ll be given a high degree of autonomy and the necessary support to be successful. There are several exciting projects planned that will require a highly skilled individual, but also a person who has the appetite to get out from behind the desk, understand the business and take an active role in driving change. IPC Health is looking for people who will play a lead role in continuing this exciting new journey.
