The Anti-Violence Worker primarily provides counselling and support for the women prisoners in the Southern Queensland Correctional Centre (SQCC) in Gatton, who have experienced domestic, family and/or sexual violence.

Most of the work is individual counselling, including working with many Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women.

The Worker is required to visit women in SQCC each week. Some group work with women prisoners may also be conducted (within the confines of the prison system).
