The Crucial Connections Worker primarily supports criminalised and at-risk girls aged 12-18, particularly those in the children’s prison system (mainly Cleveland Youth Detention Centre – CYDC). This includes girls whose mothers are in prison. The program will provide intensive support to help participants to engage and/or reengage with family and community; enhance their confidence and independence; and address barriers to participation in education, training, employment and community life.
