Title of position: Cafe and Catering - Business Manager, Crafted Culture
Report: Head of Social Enterprise
Hours: 38 hours/ week - Mon-Fri (negotiable) (working hours may depend on catering order requirements)
Location: Richmond, VIC 3121 (travel may be required around Melbourne for catering orders)
Salary: Range between AUD $60K - $70K depending on experience (Restaurant Industry Award) + 11.5% Employer-contributed Superannuation + 17.5% Annual Leave Loading

This role is crucial in the operation of SisterWorks’ Cafe. Responsibilities include managing day-to-day running of the cafe and catering business, food production, hiring, training, and supervising team members, maintaining a profitable business and executing the pathway part of SisterWorks’ mission by providing a pathway for Sisters to pursue work experience. This role requires experience in the food and beverage industry, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
This role manages daily cafe, catering, and food production operations, ensuring high service standards, product quality, and team coverage. Responsibilities include handling POS, logistics and inventory management, overseeing financials and sales growth, and collaborating with marketing for promotional activities. Customer service is key, with a focus on building relationships and maintaining cleanliness. Financially, the role oversees profitability, loss prevention, and reporting. It also involves recruiting, training, and motivating team members to uphold operational and customer service standards, while ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. The role requires team supervision and coordination with staff to maintain consistent service.
