Red Nose is Australia’s leading authority on safe sleeping and safe pregnancy advice and has been a key provider of bereavement support following pregnancy, infant and child loss for over 40 years.
The Red Nose Clothing Collection and Recycling Program (RNCC) is a social enterprise run by Red Nose. We collect donations of pre-loved clothes and household goods and recycle them through our retail shops in partnership with Savers. Every dollar we make is invested back into our programs to support families and save little lives.
The Opportunity
As the Logistics Manager for our Victorian operations, you’ll lead a dynamic team and oversee our warehouse and logistics operations in Bayswater, VIC, ensuring efficiency, safety, and excellence every step of the way.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, mentor, and manage warehouse staff, drivers, volunteers, participants and contractors.
- Oversee stock intake, outgoing logistics, and secure storage, ensuring accuracy in reporting and tracking.
- Manage delivery and collection schedules, optimising efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Ensure compliance with Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) policies and all organisational procedures.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams, external contractors, donors, suppliers and stakeholders.
- Prepare and analyse operational data to identify trends and drive improvements.
- Support your team with hands-on operational tasks
- Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and excellence within your team.
To excel in this role, you’ll bring:
- A diploma or degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience in logistics or warehouse management, including managing staff and contractors.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with demonstrated experience in data tracking, reporting, and analysis.
- Knowledge of Australian Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) laws and regulations.
- A current Victorian driver’s licence, including an MR licence (or willingness to obtain).
- A current forklift licence with 2+ years of experience.
- Excellent communication and relationship building skills.
- A proactive, solution-oriented mindset with a high level of personal accountability.
Ideally you will also have:
- Experience working within the not-for-profit, OH&S or local government sector.
- Demonstrated ability to manage budgets and optimise resources effectively.
- An MR or HR licence.
