About the Role

The ParentsNext Business Manager is responsible for the leadership, strategic direction, and financial management of SSI's ParentsNext contract for a particular region, overseeing multiple sites and teams within the region, ensuring all customers and job seekers' needs and expectations are being met, liaising with the Business Growth team regularly to ensure ongoing employment opportunities are being provided, as well as liaising with external stakeholders on a regular basis.

The ParentsNext Manager has overall responsibility for the profitability and financial performance for the whole region and the sites within the region.

The ParentsNext Manager is also responsible for the ongoing support and development of the staff and teams in the region, with a focus on identifying areas for improvement, and providing coaching, training and development opportunities as and when required.

You are socially driven and commercially minded. Your business mindset is essential in reading and interpreting data, networking with business, colleagues and other community support bodies. our resilience and problem-solving skills will support you in solving complex issues as they arise.

Essential Criteria

  • Qualifications in Business Management, Leadership, or similar qualification desirable or be willing to work towards
  • Certificate IV in Employment Services, Career Development, Disability Services, or other similar qualification, desirable or be willing to work towards
  • Demonstrated experience in leading and motivating teams across multiple sites or regions to successfully deliver high quality customer service, quality and compliance deliverables, and operational outcomes
  • Commercial acumen with demonstrated experience in delivering on financial targets, increasing profitability, and achieving business growth
  • High level customer centric approach and the ability to work towards customer service standards, KPIs, and targets
  • Ability to show empathy to job seekers, clients and prospective participants
  • Good working knowledge of local, state and national labour markets
  • Proven business development, sales or marketing ability including excellent communication skills, high level negotiation skills, and persuasive ability
  • Previous management or leadership role within the Employment Services sector in Australia, highly DESIRABLE
  • Previous experience working in the Employment Services sector and an understanding of working with long term unemployed job seekers is DESIRABLE
