About the Role

The Program Coordinator (ILC) supports people with disability to gain employment and improve their overall wellbeing by:

  • Building the confidence and ability of employers to hire, support and retain employees with disability.
  • Creating inclusive workplaces by breaking down attitudinal barriers about people with disability. The focus of the Employment opportunities are in the sectors of retail, hospitality and homecare across Queensland, New South Wales and Victoria.Ensure that compliance, quality, and performance standards are met.

Engaging with employers

  • Building Employer and relevant Employment opportunities for customers of SSI.
  • Attending events to increase our profile.

Monitor and or source and refer customers to local national opportunities and local vacancies ensuring an efficient, effective and quality service is delivered.

This role is crucial in bridging the gap between individuals with disabilities and the workforce, making a meaningful impact on lives and communities.

Essential Criteria

  • Cert IV or higher in Community Services, Employment Services, Counselling, Social Work or similar
  • Excellent communication skills, ability to listen and understand both client and employers, stakeholders needs and requirements.
  • Confident to speak to employers and stake holders by phone or face to face contact. · Present to small jobs within organisations.
  • Able to manage your day-to-day schedule
  • Skills that can build relationships with stakeholders and securing employment opportunities ·
  • Target focus and drive to be successful for this role ·
  • Work as a team and individual to achieve KPI ·
  • Experience in Employment Services or recruitment ·
  • Account Management or BDM experience ·
  • Able to travel as we have various sites throughout metropolitan area
