The role

We are excited to offer this exciting new opportunity for a skilled Link Worker, who will join an established team delivering services to youth within the Transition to Work contract in Perth's North!

In this role you will engage, facilitate and empower a caseload of youth Participants by motivating and guiding them to develop themselves with appropriate attributes and skills that enables them to gain meaningful and sustainable employment. This includes apprenticeship and traineeship opportunities.

This role is integral to our services as we are keen to ensure sustainable outcomes for all youth Participants and will require a flexible, outcome focused individual who has a can-do attitude.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • A sound understanding of issues faced by youth, unemployed and disadvantaged people 
  • Exceptional ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • A high level of communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills
  • Demonstrated experience in a fast paced, outcome focused environment 
  • An ability to work as part of a dynamic and target driven team as well as operating autonomously 
  • Qualifications in Employment Services, Youth Work, Training, Human Resource Management or Behavioural Sciences is an advantage but not essential.
  • Relevant experience in the Employment Services or similar industry (highly desirable)
