An exciting opportunity is now available for an experienced Compliance Officer specialising in Disability Employment Solutions (DES) to join the Quality Assurance team at the STEPS Head Office in Caloundra.

The Position

This role will be responsible for conducting and organising quality assurance audits of programs delivered under the Employment Solutions team, as well as coordinating the development and continual improvement of policies and procedures.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain in depth knowledge of the legislation, funding deeds, contracts, quality frameworks relating to programs delivered by the Employment Solutions Service stream
  • Monitor the Provider Portal for any changes to government police to determine impacts on current procedures and practices
  • Provide guidance to stakeholders, support managerial decision making and deliver improvements to documented information and performance
  • Measure, monitor, evaluate and report on performance of programs in relation to contractual KPIs, service quality and compliance
  • Collaborate with the Risk and Compliance Manager and General Manager - DES to provide facilitate training in understanding of compliance requirements to meet funding deeds, contracts, guidelines, agreements and service delivery models
  • Conduct auditing activities to identify areas of non-compliance and work with stakeholders to address the non-compliance and drive continuous improvement

The Successful Applicant:

  • Previous experience in a compliance, risk or quality role is essential
  • Tertiary qualification in Business, or related qualification will be highly regarded
  • Demonstrated knowledge, or the ability to quickly gain knowledge, in Funding Deeds, Contracts, Guidelines, National Standards for Disability Services and service delivery models
  • Proven ability to undertake quality assurance activities to identify level of conformance and drive continuous improvement
  • Ability to develop high quality documented information to achieve and sustain compliance with requirements
  • Hold a current Driver Licence and clear National Police Clearance
