The Hub On SX (HOSX) is a community network of like-minded organisations underpinned by the UN Sustainable Development Goals. Founded by the team of engineers at Metis Design & Engineering, The Hub aims to contribute to solving today’s greatest challenges through bridging the divide between heavy industry and sustainability. We have designed HOSX to be a cohesive force all things sustainable. Located in Fremantle, HOSX fosters innovation and collaboration between members through our modern and functional workspace, , sustainability events, educational workshops, business support, sustainability resources, and networking opportunities.

As our Community Manager, you will play a key role in the growth and success of the organisation and will contribute to developing our dynamic membership base in order to maximise our reach and impact.

We are looking for a motivated, reliable and highly-organised professional who thrives in a fast-paced and varied working environment.

The role will include day-to-day office administration, community engagement and organisation/facilitation of member get-togethers, marketing of our space and events, and contribution to the growth of the Hub on SX community.

This role is a part-time position, 9am – 3pm, five days a week.

Due to the nature of the role, flexibility to occasionally work outside of these hours is essential.

You will take ownership of:

  • General day to day tasks including answering phone calls, responding to emails, greeting clients, responding to queries from members
  • General office administration
  • Maintenance and ordering of supplies for the offices
  • Management of internal and external boardroom meetings
  • Social media posts as directed, monthly newsletters, event advertisement
  • Finding new members to join the community
  • Onboarding new members
  • Liaising with internal and external stakeholders, including property managers, trades people etc.
  • Implementing and running community engagement activities (sundowners, workshops, lunch & learn)
  • Engaging and partnering with local businesses
  • Managing the HOSX memberships with programmes such as CitySwitch, B Corp, Containers For Change etc.

You will bring to the business:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Attention to detail and commitment to high standards
  • Be able to task switch effortlessly and be flexible and adaptive
  • Intermediate to advanced MS Office skills
  • Excellent administration skills

Experience working in a similar role will be highly regarded. We are looking for a passionate individual who will adopt our vision and mission and make them their own and take ownership of this community project.
