WHO WE ARE

The Station Ltd. is a community-based organisation, which operates a drop-in centre for Sydney’s homeless and unemployed people.

ESSENTIAL skills

  • Understand policies and procedures affecting target groups such as homeless and unemployed people.
  • Have excellent verbal and written communication skills. This includes the ability to write reports.
  • Demonstrate commitment and enthusiasm.
  • Motivational and organisational skills.

The role involves providing a short to long term housing support service to homeless adults. The aim is to enable them to live independently in permanent accommodation. This includes assessment, planning and delivery of holistic life skills to clients. The role will also involve the organisation of support groups and other services as well as dealing with all clients on a case management basis.

DESIRABLE skills

  • Relevant Tertiary qualifications
  • Current Australian driver’s licence
  • First Aid certificate
  • Computer literacy
  • Current Police check (National Police Certificate) for employment, Australian Citizenship, Covid-19 vaccination status, and community network/agencies
