The primary purpose of the Nurse Practitioner - Sexual and Reproductive Health is to provide specialised, high-quality nursing care autonomously and in collaboration with other health professionals. With advanced clinical skills, the Nurse Practitioner performs assessments, diagnoses, and manages client care, which may include prescribing medications, making direct referrals, and interpreting diagnostic results as per True’s standards. The Nurse Practitioner is accountable for delivering safe, professional care that meets high standards, supporting enhanced outcomes and improved community access to sexual and reproductive health services.
Beyond direct client care, the Nurse Practitioner fosters best practice within the clinic through coordinating service delivery, educating staff, and engaging in evidence-based research. This role also involves identifying and addressing policy needs to improve service provision. By advocating for the Nurse Practitioner role in the clinical setting, the position supports continuous improvement in care quality and access for clients.
