About the Role:

The HR Services Compliance Officer provides streamlined and efficient services to support the administrative requirements throughout all stages of the employment lifecycle, whilst having responsibility for the oversight and ongoing monitoring of all compliance related requirements, including the escalation of non-compliance risks to the appropriate Managers and the HR Services Team Leader

Key Responsibilities and accountability

  • Maintain high levels of compliance for all new starters and employees in accordance overall current legislation.
  • Assist in managing information and communication over multiple databases.
  • Understanding of the purpose and expectations of Awards, pre- employment checks such as working with children checks, working with vulnerable people checks, checks for volunteers, Work rights and Visa
  • Audit and ensure all expired checks are renewed before expiry date.
  • Update information on systems such as Preceda, PageUp and Excel,
  • Be first point of contact for employees and manages towards solving queries or issues, this can include employment award, variation, policies, remuneration, leave and overall workplace relations matters.
  • Run various reports

Qualifications and attributes:  

  • Completed tertiary qualification in HR or a related discipline or studying towards it.
  • A mature approach, discretion and sound judgment combined with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks and complete work accurately and on time.
  • Effective interpersonal communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Intermediate-Advanced MS Office skills.
