About the role
We are seeking an exceptional Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist to lead an amazing team of 8 dedicated Talent Acquisition Specialists focused on high-volume recruitment. This role is pivotal in ensuring the delivery of high-quality recruitment services in Uniting's Senior Services portfolio. We are looking for an innovative, imaginative mindset, someone that is adept and proactive in exploring new sourcing methods and technologies to stay ahead in the competitive talent market.

Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership and Coaching: Guide recruitment activities to achieve key metrics around pipeline, candidate conversion, and onboarding. Set goals and regularly assess team member performance in alignment with business objectives and individual development goals.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the Talent Lead, Service Stream Heads, and key stakeholders to translate business and strategic objectives into team targets, tactical plans, and actions.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify and drive process and system improvements in partnership with the recruitment management structure.
- Advertisement Review: Ensure job advertisements are aligned, clear, and engaging, incorporating new styles, trends, and competitor activity. Leverage available AI tools for optimal results.
- Employee Referral Programs: Enhance existing employee referral power by working with leaders to promote opportunities via LinkedIn and other social media platforms.
- Career Fairs: Coordinate Uniting’s participation in TAFE and tertiary career fairs.
- Senior Recruitment: Directly attract and engage candidates for more senior vacancies in the service stream as needed.
Qualifications:
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline.
Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years experience leading a recruitment team within a medium to large complex business environment.
- Consistent, fair, inclusive, and supportive leadership style, fostering a professional and highly capable team environment.
- Ability to establish strong internal service partnerships.
- Deep knowledge of contemporary recruitment strategies, legislation, and 'Employer of Choice' practices.
- Highly Proactive in exploring new sourcing methods and technologies to stay ahead in the competitive talent market.
- Resilience and ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-pressure environment.
- Experience using ATS systems (particularly PageUp) and HRIS systems is advantageous.
- High-level consulting, negotiation, and facilitation skills. Excellent planning and analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and understand its commercial implications.
