The Family Services Practice Lead will offer strategic leadership, program expertise, and mentorship to Family Services staff and management throughout VACCA. This role requires close collaboration with all Program Managers and Team Leaders to guide and support regional Family Services teams effectively.
Demonstrated commitment to VACCA's values and vision, including fostering a culturally safe work environment through culturally sensitive leadership. Understanding the ongoing impact of colonization on Aboriginal communities and a dedication to personal and collective learning about Aboriginal knowledge and practices. Commitment to improving practices and programs for Aboriginal children and families, facilitating Aboriginal-led decision-making, and prioritizing Aboriginal leadership. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively facilitate workshops and develop resources. Expertise in case management and family support, with the ability to mentor others. Problem-solving skills, teamwork aptitude, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and the ability to provide strategic direction and support staff wellbeing.
