• Salary- $65,000-$70,000 (Plus super and salary packaging)

The Opportunity:

The Aboriginal Engagement Officer(s) will deliver the service across the Southern Region including Inner Gippsland, Outer Gippsland regions, Bayside Peninsula and Southern Metropolitan areas. You will be responsible to establish and support a Local Area Network bringing together key stakeholders for capacity building between the Aboriginal community, ACCO's, CSO's, government and mainstream disability providers.

• Awareness and appreciation of Aboriginal societies and cultures and an understanding of the issues affecting Aboriginal people in contemporary Australia and the diversity of circumstances of Aboriginal people.
• Experience and ability to work with an Aboriginal organisation and communities and a proven ability to effectively communicate with Aboriginal people.
• Demonstrated ability to form strong partnerships, network and build capacity within the Community between agencies, government and local and not for profit organisations.
• Knowledge of the Disability sector and the of the NDIS or ability to gain knowledge to perform the role.
