WHO WE ARE

VCS Foundation, trading as the Australian Centre for the Prevention of Cervical Cancer (ACPCC), is a not-for-profit organisation with over 50 years of expertise in prevention of cancer and infectious disease through provision of pathology services, and screening and vaccination registries. Our primary purpose is to support Australia and nations across the Indo-Pacific region to achieve the World Health Organisation's global targets for the elimination of cervical cancer.

THE OPPORTUNITY

As Human Resource Manager, you will work actively with the ACPCC's executive leadership team to lead HR operations and implement organisational strategies to ensure their success. Key responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Leading, coaching and mentoring a small HR team to deliver a comprehensive and best HR practice within the organisation.
  • Collaborate and advise regarding various employee relations matters and interpretation of our enterprise agreement.
  • Designs, directs, and manages development program addressing issues around talent and succession planning and superior workforce development, key employee retention, organisation design, and change management.
  • Promotion and maintenance of performance and recognition program.
  • Developing HR strategies, plans, policies, and procedures to support the ACPCC’s strategic objectives.
  • Complying with and promoting WHS practices, policies and procedures and conducting work in a safe manner.
  • Providing strategic and operational HR advice to the Director Corporate Services.
  • Responsibility for ACPCC's payroll function including overseeing payroll team.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We are seeking a motivated and committed individual with the following qualifications and experience:

  • Relevant tertiary and post graduate qualifications in HR Management with a minimum of 8 years equivalent relevant work experience as a HR Manager.
  • Demonstrated capability and experience in successfully managing a small HR function including with respect to workforce planning, recruitment, organisation and employee development, employee relations, employee engagement and organisational change, WHS, HR information systems and reporting.
  • Demonstrated ability to serve as a knowledgeable resource and advisor to a senior management group.
  • Experience with the implementation of Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS). Strong understanding of employee relations - leading investigations, problem solving and supporting outcomes.
  • Proven knowledge of ER / IR including a practical, working understanding of Award, Enterprise Agreements, taxation legislation and contracts. Experience with Modern Award in Health sector is desirable.
  • Experience in payroll systems in a medium volume environment.
