Join our growing not-for-profit team at Wajoli Foundation and be a critical part of educating women and children in a developing country.

Wajoli Foundation Uganda is fully funded by hard working Aussies and aims to improve the lives of vulnerable people.

  • The position is 15 hours per week and flexible; days and hours of work to be negotiated.
  • The role is based in Melbourne but works from home.
  • Rate is $50 per hour (must have ABN).

You will lead the acquisition of new major donors, multi-year pledges, and cultivation and stewardship of existing major donors for retention.

This newly created role is critical to our growth plan, and will require you to be self-motivated, organised and experienced in building relationships.

This role would be ideal for a career fundraiser looking to move into the Philanthropy stream or a Major Gifts/Relationship fundraiser looking for flexible/part-time hours.

Position Purpose

The purpose of this position is to build financial support for Wajoli Foundation to educate children and single mothers in Gulu, Uganda.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Join our team and dive into a role where you'll lead the charge in amplifying our brand and boosting donor support. As the Fundraising Leader, you'll work closely with our stakeholders, leading the marketing and fundraising efforts to captivate the right audiences and elevate our cause.

Reporting to the General Manager and Executive Director, you’ll steer our marketing strategies, oversee content creation, and provide direction and support.

We’re looking for a hands-on, inspiring leader who thrives on driving results and expanding our brand across various channels. Your mission: to meet revenue targets and grow our impact!

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED

  • Genuine enthusiasm for educating people in a developing country and alignment with the values of Wajoli Foundation.
  • Excellent organisational skills and experience in managing your time efficiently.
  • Excellent communication skills over Zoom, to the lead marketing team based in Uganda.
  • A proven track record of inspiring leadership, whether you've led a team or worked with diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Experience in crafting and executing marketing strategies and hitting those ambitious goals.
  • Deep understanding of marketing channels and tools, from digital marketing and social media to EDM.
  • Knowledge of fundraising strategies and their impact within a not-for-profit setting.
  • Strong project management skills, with a knack for planning and executing marketing initiatives.
  • Passion for data with an insights-driven approach to marketing and fundraising.
  • A strategic mindset paired with analytical skills.
  • Strong writing skills, with experience in crafting and editing compelling content.
  • Ability to juggle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
